OSCA Introduces Lockable Phone Pouches

From September 2026, OSCA will be introducing lockable phone pouches in an effort to reduce the use of mobile devices by pupils. By removing the distraction of mobile devices, OSCA hopes to improve classroom engagement, reduce cyberbullying, increase social connection, and improve academic performance.

Mobile phones will need to be placed inside the pouch before entering school.

Students’ phones will remain with them throughout the day, safely secured inside the signal-blocking pouch.

Once the school day is complete, students will be able to unlock their pouches at the unlocking stations as they leave school.
