Connexions Personal Advisor for the Sandwell Connexions service with 18 years of experience in working with young people. In 2018 I was fortunate to be crowned runner up careers advisor in the UK via the highly acclaimed (CDI) careers development institute annual awards ceremony in Leeds.
I am currently deployed at OSCA 2.5 days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and every other Friday to deliver a range of careers advice and guidance services to all students throughout the school.
Remaining impartial at all times, I deliver 1:1, face to face, careers guidance support to students helping them create a careers action plan with smart targets. Enabling students to realise their true potential and develop increased awareness of what career pathways will suit their personality and what post 16 options and choices they could consider is the most important outcome with my work, in particular with students at key transitional points such as in year 8 (choosing pathways) and year 11 (considering their post 16 options and choices)
