Under 14 Basketball Results

Last night the under 14 girls played their 2nd league fixture against Sandwell Academy and have managed to maintain their 100% unbeaten start to the league season running out winners by 26 - 20.

The match was a hard fought fixture against an opposition that we have never beaten but the girls showed the same spirit and competitiveness that helped them to beat Bristnall Hall on Tuesday. Player of the match Alicia Walters was given extra recognition for her fantastic rebound play in both attack and defensive zones. The fast passing and the movement within the game from the team was so strong that the opposition struggle to respond with our fast breaks. All girls displayed excellent behavior and really demonstrated the attitude and standards we expect at OSCA.

Our under 16 team also played a development fixture last night against Sandwell Academy. They had a diminished side and so thankfully were joined by Nicole Shepherd and Georgia Tolley who displayed skills and strengths equal to the girls slightly older than them. Aline Ghaddar was nomintated player of the game for her speed and skills whilst dribbling and shooting. Unfortunately due to the strength of the opposition our u16 lost comprehensively, however take the experience to help them develop skills for their next fixture.
