OSCA Cookbook Success

Fourteen OSCA students and Miss Hicklin (from the English Department) worked with staff from the Black Country Living Museum calling themselves the ‘The Bostin Fittle’ team. The team worked together earlier on in the year, to produce a cookbook full of Black Country recipes. The students were also involved in interviewing their own friends and family, and some of their own recipes/stories are in the book too.

The book was entered and won the ‘UK Gourmand World Cookbook’ award, it will now compete at the International Village of Gastronomy (held in China this year!) for ‘Best Cookbook in the World’ award.

This is a fantastic accolade to our staff and students, for their hard work, enthusiasm and commitment to the project. We look forward to reporting on the outcome of the world award when it is announced.
