Sex and Relationship Education

Sex and Relationship Education & Body Image is an important part of the PSHE curriculum and on Thursday 19th May all of our year 9 students will be working with Brook Nurses in a one-hour work shop titled: Body Image (including Female Gentile Mutilation & Circumcision) The learning outcomes for this session are:

Outcomes:
Learners will be able to discuss what influences their perception of the perfect body
Learners will be able to define what society judges to be the perfect body  
Learners will be able to appraise the pressures which young people experience in relation to body image and create strategies to overcome them.
